What to expect when booking a session with Pawprints Pix
Is your dog goofy or a lovebug? Is your cat shy or curious? At Pawprints Pix I strive to make every session unique to fit the personality of the furry one so that it shines through in the images. First and foremost is to give him or her the time to feel comfortable and safe.
As a pet photographer it is important to be flexible. The instructor of a pet photography workshop I once took stated "You never know what an animal will give you so be ready for anything and be patient." During the session I take the time to wait for the right moment, the moments when the cat or dog relaxes and begins to feel at home.
A photo session should be an enjoyable and fun experience. It's all about you and your pet.
So while every session is unique you can expect:
- a pre-session consultation to plan and customize the session to you and your furry family (usually by phone)
- the portrait session - the time may vary depending on the pet
- a private gallery of up 25 proofs
- an in person viewing & ordering session with the final portraits at the studio or your home.
Pricing & Investment
- Clients typically invest $300
- Creative fee covers time and talent.
- Print products are ordered off an a al carte price list and are printed at specialized high quality professional print labs. Price list will be provided before the session.
Paws In the Studio
Studio sessions are a great choice for those very traditional portraits. However, we love to have fun in the studio as well. Your dog love tennis balls? Well we do to. Come in and let's see what we can do to give your cat or dog a "best day ever"!

Paws on the Fly - On-Location
Want to capture those special memories at home, your favorite park or with colors of fall or spring in the background? Then a paws on the fly session is the right choice. With this session we go on-location.
$175 creative fee
- 2-3 hours of session time
- up to 2 pets and people ($25 for each additional pet)
- $25 studio credit towards first print order
Woof Cards
Does your furry companion do volunteer work as a service dog or do therapy visits to hospitals? Yes? The he/she needs his/her own trading cards to show what a rock star he is.
$100 creative fee
- 1-1.5 hours of session time
- up to 2 pets
- $25 studio credit towards printing the cards
Angel Sessions
For those with terminally ill pets capturing a portrait that captures your special bond is priceless. Don't wait.
